Empowering our team to make a difference in our community
Being part of the community is important to us and we are proud to be in a position where we can encourage and empower our team to get involved in various local and national charitable, social and community events throughout the year.
We regularly enter teams into local events. Most recently these have included the Chariots of Fire and Tiptree Strawberry Race as well as many other events to help raise funds for a variety of charities that our staff and their families hold close to their hearts.
As part of our ongoing partnership with Cambridgeshire Community Foundation, we also support smaller regional charities and local appeals.
MM Wealth sponsor a number of sports teams, people and events based in Cambridge. Our current sponsorship is for our very own Amaraj Flora, who plays in Cambridge City Hockey Club Men’s 1st XI. Amaraj is playing in the Men’s EHL (England Hockey League) Conference Midlands which sees him travelling around the Midlands through to Norfolk.
In the past we have sponsored players within Cambridge United Womens Football Club, such as Lauren Webb and Lauren Rouse. We are always looking to get involved in new and different opportunities.
A team of us took part in the Wilkin & Sons 20th anniversary Strawberry Race 2024, enjoying the sunshine and fancy dress theme of ‘Footballers’; we even managed to win a couple of prizes. It was an opportunity to learn all about strawberries and the rest of the estate, meet fellow pickers of the Little Scarlet crop, and raise money for the chosen charity.

Our office is based in Girton and whilst we regularly support causes and charities much further afield, we are always looking for local opportunities to become more involved with the community around us. We have taken part with various local causes including (but not limited to) the annual community calendar and sponsorship of a tee at Girton Golf Club. We try to support all demographics and believe our local environment should be enjoyed and encourage the importance of getting out in the fresh air. Our latest sponsorship is partnering with Girton Bowls Club. We wish them all the best for their fixtures in the 2024 season!
In the same way we work with clients to help them reach their financial aspirations, SportsAid Eastern actively promotes the development of rising young athletes in our local area to achieve their goals.
As sponsors, we can play an important role in supporting the next generation of sporting talent.
